"To Make A Difference, Be Different"

的 黑人学生会 was established in 1968 to cultivate and promote a general knowledge of Black culture and society on the University of 南 Alabama campus, and today there are over 100 成员. BSU serves as a unifying force for Black students and faculty and staff. BSU also serves as the overall representative for Black students to the University 管理机构.

• Encourage unity among Black 学生.
• Provide programming for cultural awareness and communication among the university 社区.
• Provide leadership opportunities for aspiring students.
• Encourage students to participate in all aspects of campus life.

BSU also works closely with the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) to provide programs for Black History Month as well as other activities. BSU encourages students to become active in their campus life by interacting with other organizations such as Student Government Association (SGA), Jaguar Productions (JP), and other student organizations.
